2008 EUROBIKE ........... Just got back from the worlds biggest bicycle tradeshow, Eurobike, and boy was it fun. At the last minute, we decided not to show our 2009 lineup since our main man Glen was out of commission thanks to a second surgery to a ruptured disc in his back. A 12 hour flight plus the idea of lugging around big bike boxes just weren't going to happen this year without him. So instead of letting prepaid plane tickets go to waste, we decided to go and see what we could see. Here's what we think was the best of the best!
Loved the new addition, just wish it was finished...
Our pick for the "why didn't I think of that." A titanium tricycle for those spoiled rich kids in the neighborhood . . .
Our pick for the best new G-Box DH frame. Looks interesting . . .
Our pick for the best artwork. Got some imagination there Cinelli. . .
Our Go Green award goes to Batman for ditching the gasoline guzzling Batmobile for this . . .
Our pick for the coolest stand design. I wondered the whole time if they would let us on top of that if we asked really really nicely? . . .
Our pick for the gleamiest crankset. I bet you can go really fast with these . . .
Our pick for the best new suspension design . . .
The lightest complete bike we saw at the show. Only 2.967.7 grams, pretty much the same weight as our hardtail frames. I'd like to see you take this to the local dirt jumps though. . .
Most likely the heavest frame using carbon at the show . . .
Our pick for the "I wonder what the retail on that bike is going to be?" winner. . .
Our pick for the best display at the show. The fork's display is quite nice too.
