The 2008 Kirin
The Kirin is the newest steed to the FireEye fold. It has adjustable travel settings for 4" and 5" inches and we've continued to use a front 4130 cromoly triangle and an aluminum rear triangle mix to keep with our philosophy of using the right material for the right job. A low 15" seattube with slacker geometry for ample stand over clearance. As with the Griffin, we've used sealed bearings at each pivot for smooth actuation, a bent top tube for extra standover height, oversized gusseted plain-gauge downtube, and an uninterrupted seattube for superior suspension joint adherence and for longer seatpost clearance. With the Kirin , air out that double, fly around that berm, throw down every trick in your bag, and then some. Still looking at a projected Spring '08 release.

The Kirin uses the same system as the Griffin frame, cromoly front triangle with an aluminum rear. Great for freeride or slopestyle.

.. or set up as an DJ / urban machine.

Here's a couple of shots of the prototype once it was all put together. You just gotta love that raw look.

Super strong, responsive front cromoly triangle ...

... and a custom aluminum rear triangle. (Don't worry we've replaced the screws already.)

Super thick, custom dropouts with 135mm spacing. All pivot points have sealed bearings. None of this contact bearings crap for our frames.

Available as frame and shock combo only. (Marzocchi or Manitou)
